JOB SUMMARY: The Engineering Manager is responsible for training, mentoring, and overseeing the engineering team, ensuring that all engineering tasks are executed efficiently and within budgetary constraints. This role involves managing project timelines, team workloads, and performance evaluations while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and delivery standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee a team of engineers to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery, conducting performance assessments and managing disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Facilitate collaboration and communication with other departments to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations while meeting customer requirements.
  • Ensure that all designs and installations of mechanical or electrical systems adhere to safety codes and regulations.
  • Conduct testing and evaluation of mechanical or electrical equipment to verify compliance with industry standards.
  • Research and identify innovative trends and technologies to enhance mechanical or electrical systems.
  • Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with standards and customer expectations.
  • Provide technical assistance to guarantee proper installation and maintenance of systems.
  • Encourage a collaborative team environment that promotes knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and issues efficiently and professionally.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Previous leadership experience in an engineering role within the manufacturing sector.
  • Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software and relevant programming languages.
  • Strong technical expertise in applicable programming languages, tools, and technologies.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and codes applicable to electrical systems.
  • Awareness of industry best practices and emerging technologies in engineering.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Dependable attendance and a respectful, responsible work ethic.

  • Ability to evaluate short- and long-term impacts of engineering decisions.
  • Collaborate with clients and project managers to develop effective plans.
  • Work with team members to identify challenges, propose solutions, and document processes.
  • Provide technical insights to engineers and management to inform decision-making.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must pass background checks and drug screenings.
