JOB SUMMARY:

The Engineering Manager is responsible for training, mentoring, and overseeing the engineering team, ensuring that all engineering tasks are executed efficiently and within budgetary constraints. This role includes managing project timelines, team workloads, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and delivery standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead a team of engineers to ensure timely and high-quality project completion, conducting performance evaluations and managing disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with various departments and engineers to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations while meeting customer requirements.
  • Oversee adherence to safety codes during the design and installation of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Test and assess mechanical and electrical equipment to confirm compliance with industry standards.
  • Research and identify emerging trends and technologies to enhance mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Prepare technical specifications and drawings to ensure installations meet standards and customer expectations.
  • Provide technical support for the installation and maintenance of systems.
  • Encourage a collaborative team environment that promotes knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Address and resolve customer issues efficiently and professionally.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within the manufacturing sector.
  • Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software and relevant programming languages.
  • Strong technical expertise in applicable tools and technologies.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and codes for electrical systems.
  • Awareness of industry best practices and emerging technologies in engineering.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Dependable attendance and a respectful, responsible work ethic.

  • Ability to evaluate the implications of various engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients and project managers in developing project plans.
  • Work with team members to identify challenges, propose solutions, and document processes.
