Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Tenant Support Manager to join our team at Upholdings. As a key member of our supportive housing department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tenant Engagement and Support: Develop and maintain strong relationships with tenants, providing consistent support and guidance to help them achieve their goals and maintain housing stability.
  • Community Building and Activities: Coordinate and oversee weekly recreational and community building activities that promote social connections and a sense of community among tenants.
  • Service Coordination and Referral: Work with partnering agencies to coordinate and host on-site services and activities, and provide referrals to tenants as needed.
  • Conflict Resolution and Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution support to tenants, and work to resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Data Collection and Reporting: Collect and maintain accurate data on tenant participation, satisfaction, and request for additional services and activities, and provide regular reports to management.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a social science or equivalent experience serving communities in areas such as community organizing, senior services, veteran services, educational services, social services, gerontology, recreation, or youth and families.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, understanding of residential settings and commitment to meeting housing and other basic needs, experience with evidence-based practices such as harm reduction, motivational interviewing, critical time intervention, and Housing First principles.
Physical Demands
  • Mobility and Lifting: Ability to move around buildings and property, climb stairs, navigate uneven terrain, and lift objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Sitting and Computer Use: Ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer, phone, or other office equipment.
