Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Sage Hospitality. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of payroll processing activities, including computing wage and overtime payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions, and working with vendors on wage garnishment implementation and multi-state payroll tax implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full cycle payroll processing, including entering data into payroll systems, ensuring accurate pay codes, and preparing and reconciling payroll previews.
  • Extensive auditing of data entry, output, and tax to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Requesting and obtaining necessary approvals to finalize payroll.
  • Generating and saving reports for the Hotel Restaurant Accounting Team.
  • Processing earnings verifications as needed.
  • Ensuring payroll is delivered accurately and timely, and maintaining data integrity of payroll systems.
  • Working with Wage Attachment vendors to ensure accuracy and timeliness of deductions.
  • Year-end W2 review and preparation of business reports, including EEO and SSA EVS reports.
  • Assisting the team in projects and duties to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve workflow deadlines.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of payroll experience processing for multiple EIN's and multi-state payrolls.
  • UltiPro experience preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word applications (Word and advanced Excel preferred).
  • Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
