Auria is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Supervisor to oversee the accurate and timely payment of payroll expenses and taxes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement systems to process payroll account transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes, and third-party payments.
- Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems to ensure seamless processing.
- Oversee the processing of payroll changes, such as new hires, terminations, and raises, and system upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies, including payroll tax audits.
- Supervise and coach payroll specialists and accounting assistants to ensure high-quality work.
- Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits to minimize risks.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports to support business decisions.
- Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions to ensure employee satisfaction.
- Guide and supervise the overall provision of payroll services, policies, and programs.
- Oversee compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and reporting processes.
- Demonstrate proficiency in payroll policy development, documentation, and implementation.
- Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of direct reports.
- Develop skills, knowledge, and abilities of direct reports.
- Assess performance of direct reports, deliver constructive feedback, praise, and administer rewards and recognition.
- BS/BA in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 3+ years of payroll management experience or a similar role with direct reports.
- Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes.
- Experience in managing and providing career development training for payroll associates.
- Experience in implementing and managing government, financial, and tax reporting processes.
- Strong people and process management skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPP, CPM) are a plus.
- Ability to function as a part of a team.
- Experience with Jamis Prime software.
- Experience with Humanic software.
The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications (skills, education & experience) and the position level.
