New Hire Incentive:
A $500 reliability bonus for completing 500 hours of service, awarded at $100 increments for every 100 hours worked with proven reliability.


ComForCare Home Health Care - Washtenaw-Downriver is seeking compassionate personal care assistants to support individuals in their homes or care facilities. We provide services in various local communities.

We offer flexible scheduling, allowing you to work according to your availability and preferences. There are no minimum hour requirements per week, with options for full-time, part-time, or on-call shifts tailored to individual client needs.


Compensation:
Starting pay ranges from $15.50 to $17 per hour, depending on experience and availability. Additional incentives may be available for covering last-minute shifts or for specific client care situations.


As a personal care assistant, you may choose to participate in on-call coverage for an additional premium, which you will receive regardless of whether you are called in.


Key Responsibilities:
Your essential duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting clients with daily living activities to promote independence in their homes.
  • Providing incidental transportation for clients to appointments, social engagements, or errands.
  • Monitoring and reporting any changes in clients' physical or emotional well-being.
  • Offering companionship through activities such as walks, social outings, and engaging conversations.
  • Supporting clients with personal care tasks.
  • Assisting with mobility, transfers, and exercises.
  • Managing meal planning, preparation, and serving.
  • Providing respite care for family members.
  • Completing other assigned tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • A genuine desire to assist others in living fulfilling lives.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
  • Prior experience as a caregiver or in senior care settings.
  • A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle (documentation will be verified).
  • Willingness to travel to clients' homes within designated service areas.
  • Ability to run errands and provide transportation, with mileage reimbursed at $0.55 per mile.
