Job Title: Account Executive I

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Executive I to join our Automotive Marketing Team at Gannett Co., Inc.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with senior executives at local dealerships and rooftops, developing and delivering customized solutions that drive results for our automotive clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive product penetration, upsell, and retention of Accounts through acquiring new business and increasing current client spending while increasing client satisfaction.
  • Develop relationships with senior executives at local dealerships and rooftops, and develop an understanding of the account base and related industries.
  • Perform face-to-face sales calls, retention meetings, and deliver valuable insights with every interaction.
  • Create solutions with CSM and deliver custom solutions that provide and deliver ROI to clients.
  • Effectively use CRM to manage the pipeline, maintain an awareness of revenue responsibilities and performance to goal, and stay abreast of details that require attention.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 to 5+ years of sales experience with a history of successful sales, innovation, and goal achievement.
  • Strong understanding of digital media platforms, demonstrated ability to grow and maintain market share, and proficiency in face-to-face sales calling.
  • Demonstrated record of success in a goal-oriented, highly accountable environment, in building customer-based revenue, and in delivering customer solutions based on identified needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, ability to effectively manage time as it relates to focus on sales-related activities, and experience working with Salesforce or another CRM platform.
