Key Responsibilities
- Conduct electronic, electrical, and mechanical repairs on a variety of medical equipment, including life support systems, ensuring timely and high-quality service.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to coordinate necessary repairs.
- Execute scheduled maintenance on diverse medical equipment and systems, adhering to established protocols to maximize equipment reliability and safety for patients and staff.
- Perform thorough evaluations of equipment, contribute to technology assessments, and provide technical consultation and training on patient-related devices.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions, maintaining accurate records in the equipment database and assisting with capital asset management.
- Oversee installations and incoming inspections, ensuring vendor compliance and validating their work.
- Manage inventory by ordering repair parts and maintaining service documentation, ensuring accurate and timely updates to the computerized maintenance database.

Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology or a related field, or military equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in biomedical equipment maintenance or a similar role.
Preferred:
- Certification as a Biomedical Equipment Technologist (CBET) from AAMI.
