Position Title: Senior Project Controls Specialist

Location: Houston, TX

Role Summary

The Senior Project Controls Specialist is responsible for executing all project control functions on designated projects, encompassing the essential duties outlined below.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, status reports, budgets, cost tracking, and progress measurement documentation.
  • Generate critical project management reports to facilitate informed decision-making and strategic direction for the overall project.
  • Implement change management protocols for each project, including the monitoring and analysis of cost and schedule variations.
  • Prepare and manage invoicing processes for each project while overseeing cash flow and liaising with internal management and clients regarding invoice statuses.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Project Team to monitor performance against established budgets and timelines.
  • Assist in the formulation and upkeep of staffing and manpower plans, project budgets, contract strategies, and related documentation.
  • Guide and oversee other Project Controls Specialists as necessary, including prioritizing workloads and reviewing deliverables.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external partners for invoicing and cost management purposes.
Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related Business discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Project Controls.
  • Proficient in MS Project and/or Primavera software.
  • Strong skills in MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with oil and gas engineering processes.

Work Environment

The working conditions are typical of an office setting, involving frequent periods of sitting and computer operation. The role may require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally. Physical demands align with those of sedentary work.
