Regional Sales Manager - South Central Territory

IPEX is a leading provider of advanced plastic piping systems in North America. Our mission is to shape a better tomorrow by connecting people with water and energy. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team in the South Central region.

Job Summary

The primary objective of this role is to manage the sales territory and promote our specifiable and traditional piping products with emphasis on our Multi Fittings waterworks product line. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing independent sales agents, networking with customers, and developing long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and motivate local sales representatives, providing guidance and direction.
  • Establish sales objectives for representatives and monitor progress.
  • Generate new business opportunities through existing and potential customer networks.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.
  • Obtain favorable product specifications with local engineering firms.
  • Plan and allocate time and resources to ensure sales goals are met.
  • Track leads and project opportunities.
  • Manage regional pricing strategy.
  • Interact with internal departments, such as Customer Service, Operations, Logistics, and Marketing.
  • Provide technical presentations and on-site training to engineers, contractors, and distributor partners.
  • Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Experience

We are seeking a candidate with a college degree in engineering or business, preferably with 3-5 years of sales experience in the municipal/waterworks industry. Strong technical, analytical, negotiating, and communication skills are essential. Familiarity with CRM software and business acumen with a problem-solving attitude are also required. Regular travel within the sales territory is necessary.
