Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Systems Manager to lead our healthcare IT team at Albany Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical systems and applications that support our hospital's operations and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Assist the director in developing and implementing IT strategic plans, setting priorities, and coordinating program status and issue resolution.
  • Application Development and Maintenance: Facilitate the development and maintenance of application or technology-based systems that support hospital real-time operations and provide information in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Staff Management: Assign, coordinate, and review the work of staff, including IT professionals and clinical staff.
  • Project Management: Proactively define and recommend required policies and procedures, and manage technology contractors through the development, implementation, and maintenance of partnered solutions.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide weekly and monthly reports on activity status and forecasts of resource utilization, and recognize and identify areas where existing policies, procedures, and activities require change or where new ones need to be developed.

Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a Math, Science, Healthcare, or other related field, Master's preferred.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience in clinical or healthcare application development, process analysis, reporting, technology planning, and implementation, with a focus on healthcare IT.
  • Skills: Strong project management experience, experience working in healthcare, and experience implementing enterprise-wide clinical or healthcare solutions for a health system or payer to improve patient care and operational efficiencies.
