About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Healthcare Project Manager to join our team at NTT DATA Services. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects and workstreams in support of our healthcare clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate project activities across multiple workstreams, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project governance and PMBOK guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with executive leadership, project sponsors, and stakeholders, influencing matrixed resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Monitor vendor activities, including procurements, implementation, change management, and operational oversight.
  • Assemble and manage cross-functional teams, leading with minimal guidance and identifying resource needs.
  • Develop and manage project plans and schedules to ensure on-time completion.
  • Develop and manage communication plans to effectively communicate program information and status across multiple audiences.
  • Facilitate decision-making within the program and with leadership.
  • Monitor and control scope, schedule, budget, and resources to meet project objectives and commitments.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues and risks with the project team and escalate where appropriate.
  • Provide regular status reports highlighting accomplishments, risks, and issues to the project team and senior management.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in management, business, technology, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years of professional work experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare or Medicaid environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years leading projects or working with large project teams.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with projects/programs having significant executive, vendor, and stakeholder involvement.
  • Minimum 50% onsite in Albany, NY, or as needed.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry policies, processes, and systems.
  • Experience identifying project risks/issues and proposing solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage work to a defined schedule.
