At Ross Stores, we're committed to providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. As a Service Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring our stores run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the general operations and supervision of the store, including merchandise presentation and maintenance of a clean work area.
  • Ensure a safe and secure shopping environment for customers and associates, immediately correcting or reporting any unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Responsible for security of the building, including entrance/exit control, Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) devices, and cash office security.
  • Test all fire alarm systems as scheduled.
  • Represent and support the Company brand at all times.
General Merchandising:
  • Responsible for receiving merchandise trucks, processing all merchandise with a sense of urgency, and ensuring any back-stock is secured and processed to Company policy.
  • Responsible for merchandising of departments, including the back stock, and floor moves and signing.
Loss Prevention:
  • Understand and comply with the Loss Prevention Awareness Program and is responsible for Store Loss Prevention, including maintaining a large Customer service presence on the sales floor.
  • Safeguard confidential information, cash, and credit card information and merchandise.
Front End Supervision and Operations:
  • Execute all Company Best Practices and maximize productivity by minimizing steps and extra touches when working.
  • Ensure Associates are executing to Company standards at the Front End, maintaining pace, energy, and presence at the Front End, managing the line to expedite Customer wait time.
  • Train and coach Associates on cash registers, shortage control policies, and other Front End procedures.
Administrative Duties:
  • Ensure Cash pulls and bank deposits are conducted to Company policy.
  • Responsible for Front End control when needed.
  • Understand and adhere to the policies and procedures that refer to refund approval, Associate purchase approval, securing tills and cash in safe, register Paid Outs/Ins, void approval, register media, and break schedules.
