Position Summary

The Retail Operations Leader plays a crucial role in mentoring, training, and enhancing the capabilities of store teams in their comprehension and execution of Operational Excellence, logistics management, merchandising strategies, and customer service execution. This position is designed to empower the store and its respective business segments to surpass revenue targets while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction as indicated by feedback metrics. Achieving success in this role necessitates a comprehensive understanding of business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and nurture the supervisory team to ensure the sales personnel are aware of their individual contributions to the overall store operations.
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and store presentation while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the HR Business Partner on personnel-related matters at the store level.
  • Ensure the retail team is adequately staffed with qualified individuals to meet operational standards and optimize productivity.
  • Verify that all team members complete necessary training and demonstrate proficiency in executing company standards and ongoing training programs.
  • Monitor compliance with merchandising guidelines by overseeing all aspects of visual presentation and cleanliness.
  • Assist the Logistics team in managing product flow accurately according to operational status.
  • Support inventory accuracy in alignment with company asset protection protocols.
  • Engage with customers on the sales floor and at pickup locations.
  • Promote proficiency in the Guest Engagement Model and related behaviors.
  • Lead and develop Supervisors to effectively implement the Guest Engagement Model through a culture of daily coaching.
  • Take responsibility for the sales floor and financial outcomes by adhering to Sales and Operations standards.
  • Actively interact with team members and customers to evaluate the execution of the Guest Engagement Model.
  • Address escalated customer concerns and facilitate resolutions.
  • Transform current practices through gap management and strategic business planning.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a culture of high performance.
  • Conduct ongoing talent discussions to cultivate leadership skills and build a strong team pipeline.
  • Inspire and guide through effective coaching and mentorship.
  • Establish clear expectations and hold teams accountable for performance outcomes.
  • Ensure brand presentation aligns with established Style Guides.
  • Drive results by focusing on standard operating procedures and retail processes.
  • Foster a positive culture within the store that promotes expected company outcomes.
  • Motivate and energize store teams to achieve objectives and complete standard work.
  • Open and close the store as necessary, including securing the premises and managing alarm systems.
  • Assist the Operations Team in managing cash and vault procedures.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of 5 years in a customer-facing environment is required, with at least 3 years in a management role. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is essential for success in this role.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will oversee the sales supervisory team within the store, executing business strategies to achieve corporate goals. Provide strategic guidance to direct reports for a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics and the company's future direction. Develop and implement detailed business plans to facilitate growth while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards.
