Job Summary

St. Joseph's/Candler seeks a highly skilled Outreach Laboratory Sales and Service Representative to join our team. This individual will be responsible for planning and managing laboratory sales territory, developing new business, and providing excellent service to retain existing clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Laboratory Director and Outreach Manager to develop and implement sales and marketing plans.
  • Conduct ongoing research to determine market share and assess competitor strategies.
  • Regularly call on existing clients to assess satisfaction and resolve problems.
  • Prepare sales proposals, written communications, and follow-up reports from client and prospect visits.
  • Communicate regularly with customer service staff to exchange information and resolve service needs.
  • Meet regularly with the Director of Laboratory Services to review sales goals, progress, and market share information.
  • Submit monthly reports of sales and marketing activities and assist in developing published materials promoting the laboratory.
  • Facilitate implementation of applicable contracts and arrange for supplies, report delivery, and equipment as needed.
  • Create client billing accounts and review pricing annually or as needed.
  • Promote and assist in implementing the Laboratory Compliance Plan and maintain regulatory documentation as needed.
  • Assist with monthly inspections of physician office phlebotomy sites and serve as a technical resource for laboratory consultation.
  • Perform result entry and enter results from reference labs into Laboratory Information systems.
  • Assist clients with service problems and billing needs, investigating issues and implementing solutions.
  • Make recommendations for additions or changes in technology to meet client needs.
Requirements
  • Associates degree required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the clinical healthcare field required.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Technologist preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in sales/service preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, written and oral.
