Scope of the Role

The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in evaluating the company's financial performance against established plans, analyzing business metrics, and assisting senior management in making informed tactical and strategic decisions through comprehensive reporting.

The ideal candidate should thrive in dynamic environments, possess strong business insight, and adopt a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams to establish best-practice reporting methodologies.

A successful Financial Analyst will quickly adapt to navigating through NetSuite, prepare timely reports, develop new reporting solutions, and support interdepartmental initiatives in financial reporting.


What You Will Be Doing
  • Prepare and manage monthly financial reports (including budgets, forecasts, and finance-related documentation) while identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Consolidate data from various sources to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Design and implement new reporting solutions to enhance visibility into all aspects of business performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to maintain consistent reporting quality across the organization.
  • Support corporate strategic initiatives by defining and developing routine tasks necessary to achieve organizational goals.
  • Conduct financial decision analysis (ROI as part of contract review and approval processes).
  • Analyze historical and current financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain and develop various financial models and standard templates for use by the Finance team during planning processes, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Utilize financial analysis techniques to provide practical counsel to business partners and management to drive results.
  • Prepare presentations for leadership regarding business performance and related issues.
  • Perform additional ad hoc financial analyses to support audit requests and special projects.

What You Need For Success
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
  • Experience in the e-commerce or retail sectors.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, corporate financial planning, reporting & analysis, costing/profitability methodologies, and business theories.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including analytical and financial modeling skills (pivot tables, graphing, etc.).
  • Expertise in Excel VBA is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills to process diverse information, evaluate costs and benefits, and solve complex problems.
  • Proficiency in top-down and bottom-up reporting; ability to construct financial statements and identify root causes for variances.
  • Experience in financial reporting for month-end and preparing full-year budgets and forecasts.
  • Experience in developing financial close automation tools (e.g., vendor data importing and reconciliation with internal ERP records).
  • Familiarity with financial systems, particularly NetSuite, HighJump (WMS), or similar platforms.
  • Experience with data warehouse/business intelligence tools such as Looker, Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI, or Cognos.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to respond effectively to inquiries from various management levels.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex issues clearly and impactfully.
  • A self-motivated team player who can prioritize workload and manage deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to process data accurately under time constraints.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as necessary to complete tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
