Are you ready to contribute to a dedicated team focused on advancing biopharmaceutical innovations? Avid Bioservices, a prominent clinical and commercial biologics CDMO, is seeking a skilled Accountant to enhance our financial operations.


Position Overview:


As a vital member of our accounting department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of our financial records. If you have a strong accounting background and a keen eye for detail, this position is designed for you.

Your responsibilities will encompass daily accounting functions, maintaining general ledger accuracy, overseeing capital expenditures, assisting with month-end financial closings, audits, and comprehensive reporting. Your expertise will be essential in supporting our Finance and Accounting Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the precision of financial records and general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare journal entries and conduct account analyses.
  • Perform reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist in the monthly closing processes.
  • Manage capital expenditure records and validate general ledger coding for accounts payable transactions.
  • Conduct internal audits and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Meet processing and reporting deadlines while ensuring compliance with SOX and GAAP.
  • Prepare and file necessary tax returns.
  • Support the Senior Accounting Manager/Controller with various tasks and projects.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, including advanced functions.
  • Exceptional analytical, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Minimum typing speed of 10,000 KPH with high accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA certification.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Work Schedule:


This is a full-time position with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, requiring occasional overtime during month-end close.


Compensation:


We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary, equity grants, performance-based bonuses, and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off. The salary range for this position is $65,800 - $87,700 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Physical Requirements:


This role may involve exposure to various environmental factors, including potential electrical hazards, chemicals, and mechanical parts. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with different abilities to perform essential job functions.


Work Environment:


Regular tasks will include sitting, talking, hearing, and using hands for various functions. Frequent standing and walking are required, along with occasional climbing or balancing. Lifting requirements include up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 20 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
