Job Summary

The Financial Reporting Analyst will be based in our headquarter office and will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and review of operational and financial reporting packages. The successful candidate will have excellent financial reporting and analytical skills and will be able to translate data into reports and financial models to support the management team in making informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting
    • Design, create, and deliver timely and accurate standard periodic reporting and ad-hoc reporting on various operational and financial metrics, providing analysis and interpretation as required.
    • Assist with the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly operational and financial reporting packages.
  • Data Analysis
    • Analyze current and historical financial results, perform variance analysis of key metrics, identify trends, and recommend actions.
    • Prepare and present operational and economic models to support strategic initiatives.
  • Business Intelligence
    • Support senior management team and department leaders with in-depth analysis.
    • Assist with the preparation of the annual operating budget and quarterly forecast.
    • Prepare, analyze, and distribute departmental budget vs. actual results.
  • Process Improvement
    • Develop and track key operational and financial performance metrics against the company's strategic objectives.
    • Assist in various efforts to improve the efficiency surrounding the data collection and reporting by developing automated processes and applications.
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to automate production of standard periodic reports.
    • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications.
  • Special Projects
    • Participate on special projects and perform other tasks as assigned.
    • Cross-trained in duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or related fields. MBA, graduate degree is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to create financial models.
  • 2-4 years of successful experience in a Financial Analyst position.
  • Experience in financial reporting, data analysis, report writing, and business intelligence.
  • Knowledge of Yardi and Real Estate industry/terminology is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Essbase, Tableau, Jaspersoft is a plus.
