Position Overview

The Commercial Loss Management Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the Commercial Large Loss Division (CLLD) and the associated functions of the Commercial Large Loss Project Managers. This position involves collaboration with personnel at various levels, including the Large Loss Response Team and the SERVPRO franchise network. The role reports directly to the Director of Commercial Loss.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management of job loss files by assisting in the initiation and closure of files, securing necessary documentation, and preparing completed files for review and approval.
  • Maintain a log for commercial dispatch follow-ups and ensure proper oversight of commercial losses.
  • Assist in keeping job file information current and accurate, including follow-ups on ongoing jobs, pending invoices, and accounts receivable.
  • Track membership requirements for the Large Loss Response Team (LLRT), update the membership roster, and communicate with CLLD team members and relevant parties.
  • Engage with franchisees interested in LLRT membership, monitor submitted applications, and assist with annual membership renewals.
  • Collect and review completed job file documentation from operators.
  • Provide support as needed during storm events to CLLD team members, call center, and other departments.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in insurance or restoration is required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with leaders, colleagues, and clients.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate Degree in Business Administration, Computer Software Applications, or a related certificate is preferred.
