GENERAL FUNCTION

Our mission at Luxottica of America Inc is to ensure customer satisfaction by making it easy and enjoyable to see and look great. The Retail Operations Leader plays a crucial role in achieving this mission by guiding a team of high-performing associates to deliver an outstanding experience to every customer while meeting the brand's goals and commitments.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures team members provide an exceptional customer experience consistently by modeling and coaching effective practices.

• Establishes clear expectations for the store and team members to be customer-ready.

• Aids team members in understanding that adhering to effective practices and being customer-ready are vital for delighting customers.

• Manages the flow on the sales floor, ensuring a welcoming environment for every customer and team member.

• Collaborates with team members to create actionable plans for immediate and long-term development.

• Holds team members accountable for their development plans and commitments.

• Provides timely, motivating, and constructive feedback to team members.

• Cultivates a culture that emphasizes simplicity, enjoyment, and style.

• Conducts annual performance evaluations and monthly coaching discussions with all team members.

• Possesses a thorough understanding of the key factors that drive success within the business.

• Identifies opportunities for improvement and formulates action plans accordingly.

• Recognizes that customer experience is the primary driver of results.

• Develops a professional relationship with the optical doctor, where applicable, to ensure a seamless eye exam experience.

• Meets regularly to review performance and collaborate on strategies to enhance both the doctor and retail business.

• Maintains a positive and productive relationship with the Target Host to support business growth.

• Regularly discusses performance and collaborates on strategies to enhance retail operations.

• Recruits top talent and maintains a pool of potential candidates.

• Understands the work patterns of high-performing team members during peak traffic times.

• Creates schedules based on business trends, forecasts, and customer traffic.

• Takes ownership of the business and adjusts schedules as needed to meet operational demands.

• Completes payroll on a weekly basis.

• Manages new hire and personnel change documentation.

• Responsible for the store's shrink percentage.

• Conducts physical inventory biannually.

• Completes monthly store visit forms for review with relevant teams.

• Ensures adherence to all operational policies and procedures, including merchandising and store presentation, as well as timely implementation of approved marketing initiatives.

• Guarantees accurate completion of all sales transactions and effective use of sales strategies and resources.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• 3+ years of experience in customer service or retail.

• Entrepreneurial drive for achieving results.

• Strong critical thinking skills.

• Experience in recruiting, selecting, and developing talent.

• Proficient selling skills.

• Ability to motivate and influence others.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Opticianary License or American Board of Opticians Certification.

• 3+ years of management or supervisory experience.

Employee compensation is determined by various factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. Additionally, a competitive bonus and/or commission plan may be offered, complementing a comprehensive total rewards package.
