POSITION SUMMARY:
Under limited supervision, you will be responsible for the repair, calibration, and upkeep of various biomedical technologies, devices, instruments, and systems. This role includes inspecting, installing, and performing preventive maintenance on general medical equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Efficiently repair, install, maintain, calibrate, and inspect a wide array of therapeutic and diagnostic biomedical instruments and equipment to reduce downtime.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance inspections and electrical safety assessments on devices and systems.
  • Identify and rectify equipment and system malfunctions.
  • Uphold exceptional customer service standards.
  • Manage costs effectively within budget constraints.
  • Exhibit professional behavior consistently.
  • Accurately complete all necessary documentation for equipment inspections and repairs in a timely manner.
  • Maintain company-issued tools and equipment properly.
  • Foster effective communication within the region/division and with vendors, manufacturers, and clients.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and governmental regulations.
  • Propose and discuss solution options with supervisors for critical challenges.
  • Provide technical guidance and training on equipment operation and maintenance to staff.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Meet expected productivity levels in accordance with billing and productivity standards.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience as a Biomedical Technician.
  • Preferred: Certification as a Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET).
  • Preferred: Associate Degree in Biomedical Technology or a related discipline.
