An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Technical Support Specialist to become part of our team in Dalton, Thirsk.
We are in search of a skilled IT Service Desk Engineer to join our vibrant team in Dalton, North Yorkshire. In this capacity, you will deliver extensive IT and technical assistance to users throughout our organization, both on-site and remotely. As a key member of our Group IT Support Team (Tier 2), you will be the primary contact for local issues while working alongside our wider IT Support Team to tackle challenges across multiple locations. This role requires a proactive individual who excels in a dynamic environment and is eager to broaden their expertise within a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee IT onboarding for new starters, role transitions, and departures.
- Manage incoming requests, coordinating with end users and IT vendors.
- Provide assistance to end users at all levels of the organization, both locally and remotely.
- Conduct routine maintenance and ensure the operational readiness of video conferencing and other end-user devices.
- Execute computer setups, support, repairs, and troubleshooting.
- Facilitate user account configurations and software issue resolution.
- Configure and troubleshoot mobile and tablet devices.
- Support Teams Meeting Rooms.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in a Group IT Team environment.
- Familiarity with client-side operations in Office.
- Understanding of Asset Management practices.
- ITIL Foundation v4 certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams Room systems.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications or equivalent qualifications.
- Network troubleshooting capabilities for both Wi-Fi and LAN.
