The role involves addressing various back-office registration challenges, typically arising during claim edit reviews, electronic payer rejections, or payer denials. Location: Remote
Compensation: $17.50/hr

In this role, you will:
- Utilize real-time eligibility software in EPIC for troubleshooting purposes. If resolution resources are unavailable, reach out to the guarantor via statement or letter for assistance.
- Review and resolve claim edits linked to registration inaccuracies.
- Address and rectify 277 rejections from payers associated with registration errors.
- Manage denials from payers related to registration issues.
- Employ Real Time Eligibility in EPIC to troubleshoot registration challenges.
- Analyze RTE responses in EPIC to identify potential payer mapping issues or user errors.
- Understand the workings of payers, alternate payers, and payer plans within EPIC.
- Adjust payer information as necessary, including loading, removing, or changing payer order.
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one to three months of relevant experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with office software and medical billing systems.
- The ability to collaborate effectively in a close office environment.
- Strong concentration skills for extended periods.
- A willingness to work cooperatively as part of a team.
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and memos; write and present information to leadership, vendors, clients, and other employees.
Mathematical Skills:Competence in basic arithmetic operations and the ability to interpret various graphs.
Reasoning Ability:Ability to manage problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations; plan, organize, delegate, and prioritize tasks; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; establish and maintain productive working relationships.
Physical Demands:May require lifting between 30-50lbs occasionally.
Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are typical of those encountered while performing essential job functions. The noise level is generally moderate.
