Instructional Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Classroom Support Specialist to join our team at Springfield Public Schools - MA. As a key member of our educational team, you will provide critical support to teachers in delivering high-quality instruction and creating a positive learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities- Instructional Support: Assist teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering instructional materials and activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Classroom Management: Help maintain a well-organized and safe classroom environment, ensuring that students are engaged and focused on their learning.
- Student Support: Provide individualized support to students who require additional assistance, including those with special needs or English language learners.
- Communication: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in instructional support and classroom management.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; 60 college credits or an associate's degree preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people; strong organizational and time management skills.
- Certifications: ParaPro Assessment or WorkKeys Certificate of Proficiency for Teacher Assistants required.
