Key Responsibilities:As a Residential Cleaning Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment by performing the following tasks:
- Execute cleaning assignments by preparing housekeeping carts with necessary materials and supplies, mixing cleaning solutions, and transporting them to designated areas.
- Thoroughly clean assigned spaces, including furnishings, fixtures, and equipment, using appropriate germicidal cleaning solutions. Ensure all resident rooms, bathrooms, and offices are sanitized and maintained according to established schedules.
- Manage bed linens by removing soiled items, making beds with fresh linens, and cleaning furniture as needed upon resident discharge.
- Maintain cleanliness of all floor areas through sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming, ensuring that furniture and equipment are arranged neatly after cleaning.
- Handle waste disposal by emptying wastebaskets and transporting trash to designated disposal areas.
- Assist with laundry duties by delivering resident or facility laundry to the laundry room and returning clean items to their appropriate locations.
- Conduct visual inspections of cleaned areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness and satisfaction.
- Perform routine maintenance on cleaning equipment and report any repair needs to your supervisor.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols as per Federal, State, and Facility policies to ensure the safety of residents and staff.
- Participate in ongoing educational programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field.
1. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, with prior experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
2. Strong analytical skills to understand and follow instructions effectively.
3. Capability to respond to simple written or verbal instructions, with a focus on courteous interactions with residents and visitors.
