About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solution Engineer to join our team at LAZ Parking. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based systems using Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into scalable cloud solutions.
  • Implement new solutions following change management procedures, including proper documentation and signoff of project.
  • Work closely with the Director of Cybersecurity to ensure all solutions follow security best practices in alignment with company security frameworks.
  • Collaborate with the Application and Development team to design and implement solutions following security frameworks, serving as the point of contact between IT Operations and Application Development Team for all things Azure/cloud related.
  • Design, architect, and implement Azure-based solutions that meet business needs while adhering to industry best practices and security standards and frameworks (SOC SSAE18, PCI-DSS level 1 v4.0, NIST, and OWASP).
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations on Azure services, features, and capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and implementation plans following industry best practices and internal branding.
  • Assist in the migration of on-premises workloads to Azure with a security mindset following industry standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Azure deployments, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Stay updated on the latest Azure services, features, and trends, security, and incorporate them into solution designs as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and project managers, to deliver successful solutions.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Solutions Engineer with a strong focus on advanced cloud services to support software frontend projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure is required, with Amazon Web Services experience being a plus.
  • Familiarity with modern build tools and workflows (Webpack, NPM, Bitbucket pipelines/Github actions).
  • Understanding of server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG).
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Must have at least one of the following: Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified Azure Network Engineer Associate, or Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer Expert.
  • Preferred experience: Azure Monitor, CI/CD Azure Pipeline, Azure Arc, Terraform on Azure, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
  • 2+ years' experience as a Cloud Solution Engineer.
  • Experience with TypeScript.
  • Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., JWT, OAuth).
  • Experience with performance optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
