Our organization is seeking a versatile engineer capable of participating in all stages of the design, development, and operation of advanced robotic systems.

This position focuses on Robotics Control Software and Systems Engineering.

The team's objective is to design, develop, and manage the next generation of robotic manipulation systems within our operational network.

Responsibilities include controls development and troubleshooting for innovative motion systems, creating new workflows and orchestration, developing user interfaces, executing bring-up processes, and integrating systems into cross-functional software frameworks.

As a robotics engineer, you will assist in planning development milestones, designing and implementing control features, and overseeing operations within our robotic fleet.

You will address a wide array of technical challenges.

Your role will involve translating business needs into tangible systems and prototyping ideas in collaboration with technology leaders within the team and across the organization.

You will utilize various core programming languages and technologies, including CodeSys, EtherCAT, structured text, and object-oriented languages such as Python or C++.

You will influence critical engineering decisions that affect device management for fulfillment operations globally.

Your tasks will include implementing, deploying, and debugging motion control systems, including material handling systems, custom robotic grippers, and high-performance robotic systems.

You will collaborate with other team members, including robotics software engineers, software development managers, applied scientists, and product managers.

Engage in hands-on work with the robotics team in the laboratory, with opportunities to observe and support robotic systems in various operational settings.

Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, from design to final integration and field support.
Conduct experiments, gather data, and develop new features that are essential to the program's success.
Analyze Allen-Bradley functions and translate that code into Siemens PLC programming.

Rewrite PLC programs using Siemens TIA Portal, including ladder logic, function block diagrams, structured text, and other relevant programming languages supported by Siemens.

2-3 years of experience in control systems engineering
2+ years of experience in motion controls, such as material handling systems and actuated systems.
2+ years of experience developing solutions across various platforms, including Siemens and Rockwell. A bachelor's degree in computer science, Robotics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Controls, or a related field
Proficiency in modern object-oriented programming languages such as C++ or Python.
Familiarity with industrial robotic arms or custom actuated hardware systems.
