Position Overview: Senior Controls Engineer
Quantus Management Resources is seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer. This role is pivotal in delivering advanced automation solutions and requires a strong background in various control systems technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement innovative automation solutions, either independently or as a project leader.
- Develop control system architectures tailored to meet client specifications, including the selection of appropriate components and the creation of detailed schematic diagrams.
- Program controllers (PLC, DCS, RTU) and develop process visualization interfaces (HMI/SCADA) while ensuring effective data management through database development.
- Utilize programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Sequential Function Chart, and Structured Text to achieve optimal system performance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians, and potentially manage smaller project initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Over 10 years of relevant work experience in automation engineering.
- Proficiency in Ignition and Rockwell systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards in the life sciences sector, including cGMP and 21 CFR Part 11.
- Extensive experience across all phases of automation projects, including design, implementation, testing, and commissioning of Process Control Systems (PCS), SCADA, and DCS.
- Knowledge of S88 Batch and GAMP5 methodologies.
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL and Oracle.
- Understanding of automation protocols including HART, Foundation Fieldbus, and Modbus TCP/IP.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with electrical schematics and power distribution systems.
