At New Season Treatment Centers, we are dedicated to providing safe, quality, and best-in-class care for individuals living with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). With over 30 years of experience, we operate in over 70 treatment centers across multiple states, offering medication-assisted treatment, counseling, support, and care management.
Job Summary:We are seeking a qualified Counselor - Level 3 to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will work with patients to complete intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork, while also documenting patient progress through counseling and interaction.
Essential Functions:- Complete patient psychosocial and individualized treatment plans within the required time frame.
- Identify clinical/case management needs and work to address those needs.
- Perform individual, group, and family counseling as required.
- Report patient abuse, neglect, and exploitation as required.
- Report patient grievances as required.
- Educate patients in all aspects of treatment, corresponding health issues, and steps to recovery.
- Obtain Urine Drug Screens and initial patient photo identification.
- Assist in monitoring patient activities on center premises.
- Actively participate in community relations activities as directed and authorized.
- Ensure compliance with 42 CFR Part 2 (Federal Confidentiality Regulations) and 45 CFR, Parts 160 & 164 (HIPAA).
- Obtain or maintain proper licensure and/or certification according to specific state requirements.
- Participate in preparation for surveys and inspections conducted by CARF, the State, DEA, Board of Pharmacy, and any other agency site visits as dictated by state laws or regulations.
- Participate in all staff meetings.
- Ensure compliance with local, State, Federal, and Colonial Management Group, LP rules, regulations, and policies.
- Education/Licensure/Certification:
- Experience in the substance abuse field is not required, but preferred.
- Qualified candidates will have a counseling certification in a related field (State Specific).
- Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
- Experience Required:
- Minimum of 500 hours of experience in substance abuse is preferred.
- Skill and Ability:
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be dependable and reliable.
