Fiber Optic Account Specialist

Account Manager Job SummaryUS Conec Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Account Manager to join our team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing assigned customer accounts to ensure effective execution in alignment with company annual sales goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain successful and mutually beneficial relationships with assigned customers.
- Gather market knowledge through customer interaction to propose and implement account strategies, including product development and product extension.
- Work with product managers to establish and manage consistent account pricing.
- Utilize CRM tools for account planning, opportunity tracking, financial tracking, forecasting, and overall account coordination.
- Assume responsibility for assigned Core, Key, and Growth Accounts.
- Align US Conec business planning with the strategic goals of the customer and coordinate USC efforts internally with Customer Service, Product Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
- Assist Strategic Account Managers with objectives and programs.
- Assist Inside Sales Representatives and Customer Service to achieve stated objectives by coaching and supervising.
- Maintain a high knowledge level of multi-fiber connectors, single fiber connectors, optical cable termination methods, optical interconnect hardware, and Optical Networking.
- Generate preference for US Conec products over competitors and establish US Conec as a relevant source of technical knowledge for existing customers using professional selling skills and techniques.
- Participate in special sales programs and promotions to improve US Conec market share at assigned accounts.
- Assist with development, planning, and implementation of US Conec marketing plan, including press releases, promotional literature, and trade shows.
- Recognize new product opportunities and report information about applications, target specs, potential volumes, ASPs, and timing requirements to product management.
- Analyze the customer's market, business targets, and strategy, issues, needs, processes, value chain, and key business drivers and effectively transfer this knowledge to US Conec.
- Provide monthly report to Regional Sales Manager.
- Coordinate the analysis and resolution of product-related field performance issues.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Technical or engineering a plus.
- Minimum 3 years commercial experience in the fiber optic industry.
- Knowledge of fiber optic cable, connectors, and hardware.
- Advanced PC skills with and standard MS Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Travel required.
