FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER

This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing both preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal performance of SIG Combibloc line equipment. The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service skills and be adept at performing mechanical adjustments, troubleshooting, and repairing control systems. You will also be responsible for enhancing line performance and efficiency through continuous improvement practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage daily maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Generate comprehensive reports for the back office.
  • Plan and execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities to high standards, adhering to established procedures to ensure effective equipment operation.
  • Support production after maintenance to restore line efficiency while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical and automation issues.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis to ensure lasting solutions, escalating issues with proper documentation when necessary.
  • Manage claims and provide technical support and guidance in accordance with the claims process, including root cause analysis.
  • Install rebuilding kits following procedures and reintegrate equipment into the production environment with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and address system performance issues, implementing approved operational enhancements.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Associate degree in Engineering, preferably in electrical or mechanical fields.
  • 4-8 years of experience in technical equipment or machinery within a service-oriented industry, including troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of customer sites and packaging lines, with experience in carton and packaging technology; aseptic knowledge is a plus.
