Senior Patient Access Coordinator at Premier Health Partners

This role operates under the guidance of the Access Supervisor/Manager. The Senior Patient Access Coordinator is tasked with fostering open dialogue with the Supervisor/Manager regarding matters, prospects, and scenarios related to Access Services. This position is essential for cross-training team members and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. The Senior Patient Access Coordinator also engages in financial counseling, collects co-payments and deductibles, and offers financial assistance education to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute a diverse range of tasks while demonstrating the ability to manage multiple responsibilities
  • Uphold outstanding customer service standards
  • Effectively communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and colleagues
  • Exhibit proficiency in functional and technical skills
  • Comply with regulatory standards and safeguard patient confidentiality

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory; an Associate's Degree is preferred
  • A minimum of two years of experience in customer service and general office procedures
  • Certification in Medical Terminology is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Windows-based computer systems
  • Exceptional verbal and listening communication abilities
  • Capability to maintain a professional demeanor in high-pressure situations

The Senior Patient Access Coordinator must cultivate productive relationships with all stakeholders, possess strong mathematical skills, and operate standard office machinery. A comprehensive understanding of third-party collections, registration, billing, and contracts is desirable.
