This role necessitates proficiency in acute care nursing, understanding healthcare reimbursement protocols, analyzing clinical outcome data, managing utilization, planning transitions, allocating resources, and possessing strong team management and communication skills.The position promotes effective care coordination and resource utilization through thorough assessment of patient care needs during hospitalization and throughout the healthcare continuum.
Success is evaluated based on the achievement of targeted goals and outcomes established through collaborative efforts of the care team.Education:
BSN required.
Licensure:
Registered Nurse with a valid Ohio license.
Certification:
Certification in a clinical specialty area is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience in the patient population area within the last five years is required. Expertise in healthcare reimbursement, transition planning, and case management is preferred. Familiarity with clinical documentation management programs and knowledge of performance improvement processes are also advantageous.
Skills/Other:
Exceptional interpersonal skills demonstrated by the ability to establish and maintain rapport with physicians and Integrated Care Team members.
Required skills include negotiation, conflict resolution, and assertive communication. Knowledge of InterQual ISD-A and Milliman Guidelines, along with third-party insurance requirements, is preferred. Experience in information gathering, monitoring indicators, and feedback mechanisms is essential. Basic computer skills are required.
