Job Summary:

The Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the clinical services of the Arizona State Hospital. Reporting to the Hospital Superintendent (CEO), the CCO will work closely with the Chief Medical Officer and other administrators to develop and implement strategic plans for clinical services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement clinical programs and services to meet the needs of patients and residents.
  • Collaborate with administrators and other disciplines to develop and revise treatment, educational, and therapeutic programs.
  • Review treatment documentation for quality and assurance, and ensure compliance with license and accreditation requirements.
  • Participate in the development of policies and serve on various committees.
  • Coordinate all clinical services within the hospital and delineate roles and expectations for non-nursing clinical staff.
  • Direct the monitoring of program performance and promote the Arizona State Hospital as a source of mental health expertise.
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) degree.
  • Corresponding Arizona license in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
  • Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Valid AZ State Driver's License.
