Position Overview

The Arizona School Boards Association is seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer, a seasoned leader in education and non-profit sectors, to advance the mission of this esteemed organization. The new CEO will enhance ASBA's reputation for excellence in supporting locally governed school districts. This role involves overseeing the Phoenix office and staff, as well as managing a suite of programs and services tailored to member needs. The CEO will unite stakeholders to evolve the organization and its offerings, ensuring ASBA is recognized as a high-performance entity that effectively meets the needs of its members through quality services and products. As the chief executive, the CEO will report directly to the Board of Directors and will also serve as Treasurer and a non-voting member of the Arizona School Boards Association Insurance Trust Board of Trustees.

Key Responsibilities

The Chief Executive Officer will act as the principal administrative officer of the Association, accountable to the Board of Directors. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing a responsive program of services that aligns with member needs.
  • Establishing a robust organizational structure and participating in the development of innovative programming.
  • Cultivating impactful relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Strategic Leadership and Innovation

  • Provide vision and leadership in shaping the mission, goals, and strategies to fulfill ASBA's objectives.
