Oportunidad

Como Ingeniero Principal, sus responsabilidades incluirán el diseño, la dirección, la gestión y la coordinación de la implementación de sistemas de control industrial y sistemas de gestión de edificios (BMS) para instalaciones nuevas y existentes. Un enfoque principal de este rol es contribuir a las iniciativas de Transformación Digital/Fábrica Inteligente de Kohler. Esto implica colaborar estrechamente con equipos enfocados en el piso de la fábrica, estableciendo la conexión con la infraestructura de soporte vital como chillers, calderas, compresores de aire y redes de distribución eléctrica. Sus tareas abarcarán el diseño del sistema, la supervisión de instalaciones, la programación, el diagnóstico, la resolución de problemas, la gestión de proyectos y la capacitación en sistemas de control y visualización para instalaciones y equipos de servicios públicos. Además, apoyará al Mantenimiento de Producción y a la Ingeniería de Planta cuando sea necesario, aumentando sus capacidades. El candidato ideal para este puesto es altamente colaborativo, posee un profundo entendimiento técnico y operativo, y está dedicado a introducir herramientas digitales efectivas en toda la empresa.
Estas funciones se realizan a escala global y se podría requerir viajar a ubicaciones remotas en países en desarrollo (el viaje nacional e internacional podría ser de hasta un 15%). Se prefiere la presencia en el sitio; sin embargo, se considerará un modelo de trabajo híbrido remoto/en el sitio para el candidato ideal. Se espera presencia en el sitio según el proyecto y otros requisitos administrativos.

Responsabilidades Específicas


•Desarrollar planes de proyecto detallados, asegurando la aprobación de las partes interesadas y comunicando efectivamente información técnica compleja en un formato comprensible para ejecutivos.

•Diseñar, programar y solucionar problemas de sistemas de control industrial, incluidos PLCs, robótica, controles servo, sistemas de visión, HMIs y accionamientos AC/DC.

•Liderar la ejecución del proyecto, abarcando estimaciones, justificaciones, gestión de presupuestos, programación, diseño, implementación, instalación, puesta en marcha, resolución de problemas y documentación, asegurando el cumplimiento de las regulaciones aplicables.

•Asegurar que los diseños y especificaciones cumplan con los estándares de Kohler y liderar las comunicaciones con proveedores y contratistas para la implementación de soluciones, enfocándose en la seguridad y la mitigación de riesgos en la planificación del proyecto.

•Asistir en la puesta en marcha y operación de nuevos equipos e instalaciones, incluidos SOPs y documentos de seguridad.

•Colaborar con equipos internos para traducir problemas en soluciones técnicas.

•Proporcionar soporte técnico para el desarrollo y mantenimiento del Sistema de Control Distribuido (DCS) de las utilidades del campus de Kohler, WI.

•Brindar apoyo a los equipos de ingeniería de producción, incluido el soporte técnico ocasional de emergencia y fuera de horario.



Habilidades/Requisitos


•Un título de BS en Ingeniería Eléctrica/Computacional o Ingeniería Mecánica de una institución acreditada por ABET y más de 6 años de experiencia en automatización de fábricas y/o controles industriales. Los requisitos de título y experiencia pueden ser modificados para el candidato ideal a discreción del gerente de contratación.

•Habilidades excepcionales de comunicación escrita y oral son esenciales, con la capacidad de destilar información técnica compleja en formatos claros y comprensibles para los tomadores de decisiones.

•Conocimiento profundo de los estándares de la industria relacionados con la seguridad y el diseño del sistema. Certificaciones de seguridad especializadas son altamente deseadas (por ejemplo, SAF-TÜV).

•Experiencia con plataformas de control de Rockwell Automation, robots Fanuc, BMS, controles HVAC y la plataforma Ignition de Inductive Automation.

•Competencia en Microsoft Office, con SAP y AutoCAD Electrical como un plus.

•La experiencia con lenguajes de programación de alto nivel (C#, C++, Java, Python, Visual Basic) es beneficiosa.

•Debe ser capaz de realizar actividades físicas como escalar escaleras y levantar objetos ligeros.

•Se prefiere una licencia de Ingeniería Profesional.

El rango salarial para este puesto es de $113,000 - $143,950. El salario específico ofrecido a un candidato puede verse influenciado por una variedad de factores, incluyendo la experiencia del candidato, su educación y la ubicación del trabajo.
