Overview:
DIRECTV is in search of a Principal Enterprise Solution Architect, a technical authority responsible for crafting and executing solutions to intricate challenges. This pivotal figure serves as the primary resource within the organization for the integration of new technologies and the resolution of complex issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comprehend the business vision and strategies, formulate an IT strategy aligned with business objectives, and outline a roadmap to realize the business vision.
  • Assess and implement build versus buy strategies, mentor team members, and maintain a holistic view of overarching business strategies.
  • Analyze emerging technologies and industry trends, develop proof-of-concept projects, and communicate insights to the engineering team.
  • Act as the technical lead on solution deployment initiatives, including hands-on configuration of sophisticated components.
  • Translate business needs into detailed systems, applications, or process designs within a comprehensive integrated technical solutions architecture.
  • Ensure alignment of solutions with established standards and best practices while collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Engage with internal and external teams on design, architecture, interface design reviews, process evaluations, development, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Continuously assess various aspects of the platform for potential security enhancements and improvements in observability.
  • Facilitate communication with developers and users to identify pain points, bottlenecks, and desired features for ongoing platform enhancement.
  • Conduct risk assessments and devise mitigation strategies while consistently evaluating and validating system design and architecture.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Over 7 years of experience in Enterprise/Solution Architecture.
  • Familiarity with Next Best Action, real-time decision-making, customer journey, and Martech domains.
  • Experience in integrating SaaS and on-premises software products utilizing various integration technologies.
  • Preferred experience with Pega CDH architecture.
  • Strong creative thinking, problem-solving, planning, time management, and organizational skills to effectively balance and prioritize tasks.
  • Business insight to comprehend the needs of the organization and how technology can facilitate achieving goals.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • A proactive mindset with a belief that every challenge has a solution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven leadership and motivational skills.
  • Experience in modeling and graphical representations.
Additional Information:
This role may require minimal travel for organizational or team meetings.

Remote Work:
This position is fully remote and can be performed from anywhere in the United States, with expectations to be available virtually during Pacific Time Zone working hours.

Compensation:
DIRECTV offers a competitive compensation structure designed to attract and retain top talent. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, with individual pay influenced by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The base salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for various US Labor Market Zones.
