Salesforce Solutions Architect / Technical Lead

Overview

The Salesforce Solutions Architect / Technical Lead assumes a pivotal role in guiding Salesforce initiatives. This position involves collaborating with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to design, implement, and sustain Salesforce solutions. Beyond development tasks, the Solutions Architect is accountable for Salesforce integration and deployment, encompassing architecture, design, system testing, and user acceptance testing. As a vital member of the project team, the candidate will balance hands-on Salesforce development with the coordination of the development team's activities. They will mentor developers and maintain close communication with the project team and leadership, ensuring stakeholders are kept informed of technical advancements and potential challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all technical dimensions of Salesforce implementations and customizations, including data migrations, data integrity, system integrations, third-party applications, AppExchange products, and bespoke development.
  • Establish and manage Service Cloud Voice utilizing Amazon Connect, Messaging and In-App, and Chat Bots.
  • Take charge of Salesforce Release Management through Copado.
  • Design solutions and supervise teams in developing, testing, and supporting tailored Salesforce solutions using Apex Triggers, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, Web Services, and Metadata API, employing code authoring tools such as Eclipse IDE to meet business requirements.
  • Provide technical direction, establishing best practices for integration, application development, deployment, testing, and iterative refinement.
  • Offer strategic insights on maintaining Salesforce Governor Limits.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage Salesforce to enhance business processes and productivity, making recommendations to support a rapidly scaling customer service organization.
  • Define, communicate, and manage a change management (release) process for developing and implementing new applications/code and updates to existing applications/code.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 8 years in a consulting capacity.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in application design and development.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in developing and customizing Salesforce applications using Flows, APIs, Apex, SOQL, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading large-scale Salesforce implementations with over 300 users, integrating with enterprise applications such as Oracle and SAP.
  • Strong grasp of SDLC methodologies, including Agile and SCRUM.
  • Experience with Salesforce integration tools, such as Informatica Cloud and MuleSoft.
  • Active participation in all phases of Salesforce projects, from requirements gathering to support.
  • Proven abilities in defining integration strategies, developing requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing effective business solutions.
  • Experience implementing Service Cloud Voice with Amazon Connect.
  • Experience with the Salesforce Digital Engagement suite for omnichannel contact centers.
  • Familiarity with Copado as a DevOps tool.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I and II certifications.
  • Salesforce Service Cloud Certification.
