BASF's Technical Development Programs (TDPs) are designed to meet the business needs within the Gulf Coast by providing motivated local university students graduating in engineering with opportunities to enhance their technical and manufacturing engineering skills through diverse learning experiences. Participants will engage in rotational assignments, developing their technical skills and gaining a deeper understanding of manufacturing while addressing specific business requirements. This program also allows participants to evaluate their capabilities, skills, and interests while gaining valuable insights into BASF's culture and decision-making processes.

Program Overview:

Applications are open to students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.

  • As a driven graduate, you will participate in a 24-month engineering rotational program, including two one-year rotations in various technical areas such as Manufacturing/Operations and Maintenance.
  • You will engage across the business, gaining exposure to the technical and scientific aspects of plant engineering while upholding our high standards in safety and environmental practices.
  • Upon completion of the program, you may be offered direct placement within the organization in various engineering and production disciplines.

Success Factors:

  • Graduates pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Demonstrated academic excellence (minimum GPA 3.0).
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions.
  • Active involvement in extracurricular activities and campus organizations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous internship or co-op experience is advantageous.
