About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced LNG Project Engineer to lead our capital projects team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development through detailed design, construction, and start-up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Provide leadership to the multi-disciplinary engineering efforts for capital projects, collaborating closely with Project Managers, Operations, Maintenance, Procurement, and OH&S teams.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development through detailed design, construction, and start-up.
  • Engineering Deliverables: Oversee the development and review of engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company specifications.
  • External Coordination: Coordinate with external engineering firms, consultants, and vendors to support project objectives and ensure quality and timely deliverables.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Drive innovation and continuous improvement in engineering processes, methodologies, and technologies to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough technical reviews and risk assessments to identify potential challenges and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Project Execution: Develop and implement engineering execution plans, resource allocation strategies, and project schedules.
  • Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication between engineering disciplines, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and resolution of technical issues.
  • Strategic Decision-Making: Participate in strategic decision-making processes, providing technical insights and recommendations to support project objectives and organizational goals.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years' experience in engineering roles, with a focus on capital projects in the oil & gas, refinery, or industrial sectors.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical expertise in engineering design, analysis, and project execution, with knowledge of industry best practices and standards.
  • LNG Experience: Experience with LNG projects and familiarity with FERC and PHMSA regulations are a positive.
  • Project Engineering: Project Engineering experience with capital projects and / or turnaround work in an operating facility.
  • EPC Experience: Prior EPC experience working in a construction environment, particularly in roles such as Technical Service Manager, Discipline Lead, Foreman, or Supervisor, is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical Engineer).
