POSITION SUMMARY:

The Community Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the management of diverse client cases that involve the delivery of social, health, vocational, rehabilitation, or related services to residents. This role entails supervising case management and administrative support personnel.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Employees in this position work primarily in an office setting, although site visits to various community locations may be required. The role typically involves a standard workweek with minimal physical demands.

SUPERVISION:

Incumbents receive general oversight from a higher administrative authority.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Qualified candidates will be evaluated based on their training and experience, which must be clearly articulated in their applications. It is crucial to provide complete and precise information, as omissions may hinder consideration for this role.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess:

EDUCATION: A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in vocational rehabilitation, health, human services, nursing, or a closely related field.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five years of experience in coordinating and managing cases related to health, social, vocational, or rehabilitation services, including at least two years in a leadership role.

NOTES ON EQUIVALENCIES: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • Proficient knowledge of management principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with the functions and resources of public and private community service agencies.
  • Understanding of individual and community needs and available resources.
  • Expertise in case management methodologies.
  • Ability to assess complex client situations and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Capability to maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in preparing detailed reports and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations with composure and professionalism.
  • Administrative and supervisory capabilities.
