Job Summary: The Operations Supervisor will oversee daily janitorial services, ensuring client satisfaction, maintaining account retention, and fostering positive employee relations across multiple accounts. This role is essential in guaranteeing that all cleaning personnel remain focused and complete their tasks to meet client expectations. Success in this position requires a solid understanding of client needs, cleaning methodologies, and effective cost management, along with a collaborative approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Management:
  • Lead a team of cleaning technicians to achieve high-quality service standards.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new employees while managing their schedules and performance.
  • Set clear job expectations and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Oversee employee compensation and enforce company policies.
  • Facilitate team meetings to communicate operational updates.
  • Train staff on effective cleaning techniques and procedures.
  • Organize work crews based on project needs and assist with the recruitment process.
  • Manage employee timesheets for accurate payroll processing.
Operational Oversight:
  • Maintain regular communication with regional sales and operations teams.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of operational paperwork.
  • Manage budgets and control expenses for all operations, adjusting as necessary to meet financial goals.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for strategic planning and operational reviews.
  • Prepare annual budgets and analyze variances to initiate corrective actions.
  • Establish and enforce safety and health standards in the workplace.
  • Engage in professional development to enhance job knowledge and skills.
Client Relations:
  • Act as the primary liaison with building managers and supervisors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key operational vendors.
  • Address customer concerns related to service quality and equipment issues.
  • Work collaboratively with clients to enhance their experience and resolve complaints.
  • Manage inventory and ensure the proper functioning of cleaning equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong ability to forecast staffing and budgetary needs.
  • Proficient in documenting corrective actions as necessary.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess reliable transportation.
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain dependability.
  • Willingness to work evenings to oversee cleaning teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent leadership skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience with payroll systems is advantageous.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 30-50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
