Position Overview

The Guest Services Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing the overall front-of-house operations of the restaurant, ensuring that the host team effectively represents the brand.

This individual must possess strong leadership abilities and be adept at delegating tasks to achieve high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervising the host team, managing reservation processes, and fostering effective communication with various departments within the restaurant.
  • Enhancing the guest experience through proactive problem-solving, anticipating needs, and maintaining clear communication.
  • Assisting in resolving guest and staff conflicts while consistently upholding a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Utilizing reservation management systems to ensure accurate seating arrangements, manage bookings, and monitor wait times.
  • Performing host-related tasks as necessary, including answering calls, taking messages, managing reservations, seating patrons, and overseeing menu inventory.
  • Supporting and developing the host team by enhancing their job knowledge, setting clear expectations, and evaluating overall performance.
  • Engaging in the company's online presence by sharing promotional content on personal social media accounts, if applicable.
  • Carrying out additional job-related tasks as assigned to meet the evolving needs of the restaurant.
About You

  • Previous experience in a Lead Host or Guest Services Supervisor role is required.
  • Availability to work weekends and flexible hours, including holidays.
  • The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional guest service.
  • Maintains a professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Exhibits excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with management, staff, and guests.
  • Demonstrates resourcefulness and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Capable of multitasking and managing time efficiently.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment


The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is required to remain standing for the duration of the shift. The employee frequently engages in walking, sitting, bending, and reaching. Occasionally, the employee may need to lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds. Specific vision capabilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment typically has a moderate to high noise level.
