Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Vice President, Early Learning Advancement to join our team at United Way for Greater Austin. This role will provide strategic leadership and direction for our early care and education programming, working closely with organizational leadership and external partners to drive innovation and impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic vision for United Way's early care and education programming, collaborating with organizational leadership and external partners to drive innovation and impact.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to program managers and staff, ensuring effective implementation of early care and education initiatives.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring alignment between strategic vision and program outcomes.
  • Represent United Way and its early care and education work internally and externally, including at local and state agency-level meetings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, and community partners.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in child care center administration, public school administration, and/or charter school development, program development and implementation, and strategic planning.
  • Experience in leading effective meetings with diverse participants and supporting collaborative work.
  • Robust knowledge of funding mechanisms (public and private) and opportunities for high-quality early care and education.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
