Position Overview: As the MEP Project Leader, you will oversee and guide the preconstruction, engineering, and field installation processes for all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.

Reporting Structure: Reports to: Project Manager, Project Executive

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, design consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and client representatives to ensure project alignment from start to finish.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of contract documents, including specifications and applicable codes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the MEP team, providing input on performance evaluations.
  • Supervise daily operations of MEP Engineers, Superintendents, and other team members.
  • Manage MEP procurement, project budgets, quality assurance, safety protocols, engineering, coordination, scheduling, installation, commissioning, and project close-out processes.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree along with a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the design, cost estimation, sequencing, logistics, and field installations of Mechanical and Electrical systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ability to identify cost-effective design features and recommend alternatives that maintain or enhance functionality is essential. Strong presentation skills for technical material are required. LEED accreditation is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with project management and scheduling software is desirable. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills are crucial.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands of this role may include climbing stairs, using construction personnel hoists, and navigating construction sites. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This position may require the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
