Job Overview

Charlotte Mechanical Engineering is a dynamic consulting firm specializing in engineering solutions. We are currently in search of a skilled Plumbing Systems Engineer who is passionate about sustainable design.

We require a professional with experience in consulting engineering who will manage the design process from initial schematic development to construction oversight for various project types, including office buildings, retail spaces, condominiums, industrial facilities, and multifamily residential developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct engineering tasks with defined objectives, focusing on conventional design plans and specifications.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure sound professional judgment is applied throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Design and layout plumbing engineering drawings.
  • Perform comprehensive plumbing calculations, including sizing for water, storm, and equipment.
  • Develop plumbing systems encompassing sanitary waste, venting, storm drainage, and domestic water supply.
  • Select, schedule, size, and specify essential plumbing system components.
  • Engage in Power Distribution Systems Design.
  • Utilize Revit and demonstrate strong proficiency in AutoCAD, with a solid command of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Possess knowledge of multifamily and commercial design principles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in Plumbing Design is preferred.
