**About the Role:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Full-Time Assessor to join our team at Virginia Family Services. In this critical role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive needs assessments for our clinical department.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will conduct assessments for mental health skill-building, intensive in-home, residential crisis, substance use intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization programs. You will possess a deep understanding of direct behavioral health and substance use services, including assessment, treatment, and consultation.

You will also have knowledge of medical necessity and service components, as well as the ability to apply counseling diagnosis theories and techniques to diverse consumer populations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments for the clinical department
  • Maintain knowledge of direct behavioral health and substance use services
  • Apply counseling diagnosis theories and techniques to diverse consumer populations
  • Meet submission guidelines, assess medical necessity, and utilize DSM-5 diagnosis and ICD-10 codes

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related human services field
  • Minimum four years of experience working in a crisis setting with individuals and families
  • Minimum two years of administrative supervisory experience
  • Licensed by the Board of Counseling (LMHP Type - LPC, LMFT, LCSW, Resident, or Supervisee)
  • Ability to meet deadlines and computer savvy
