About the Role

  • ">
  • We are seeking PRN Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our Medication Assisted Opioid Treatment Program.">
  • As a LPN, you will perform intermediate human support work in the care and treatment of patients, managing medications, administering dosages, and maintaining patient records.">
  • You will work under the supervision of an assigned supervisor and collaborate with medical personnel to provide high-quality patient care.">
  • The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of practical nursing techniques, sanitation, and personal hygiene practices.">
  • A valid driver's license in Virginia and CPR certification are required for this position.">

Key Responsibilities

  1. ">
  2. Assess and evaluate clients, obtain medical data, and monitor patient responses to treatment.">
  3. Manage and prepare medications for distribution, evaluating medication compliance, and participating in diversion control efforts.">
  4. Administer observed dosed medication, injections, immunizations, and medications, and assist physicians as needed.">
  5. Deliver medication to patients in residential treatment and observe dosing.">
  6. Assist Registered Nurses with triage and crisis intervention, and draw venous blood, finger stick, urine, and other routine laboratory work.">
  7. Consult with prescribers, lead nurses, case managers, team members, and pharmacies on new orders, changes, pre-authorizations, and lab results.">
  8. Maintain patient charts, logs, and records, utilizing electronic health records and software to document dosing and medical concerns.">
  9. Prepare supply orders, track, and stock supplies and medications.">
  10. Participate in training on naloxone use to reverse opioid overdose and attend meetings, seminars, and training sessions as required.">

Requirements

  • ">
  • Graduation from a State-accredited program of practical nurse education.">
  • 2+ years of experience as a practical nurse in a behavioral health setting.">
  • Possession of a current license as a Practical Nurse issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Nursing.">
  • CPR certification.">
  • Valid driver's license in Virginia.">

Salary Information

">

$27.54 per hour. This is a non-exempt position with opportunities for growth and professional development within our organization.
