About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician Assistant to join our team at the Richmond Behavioral Health Authority. This full-time position is responsible for providing support services to clients, ensuring their safety and well-being, and performing various tasks related to their daily needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal care and hygiene.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility, grounds, and client whereabouts to ensure their safety and security.
  • Provide customer service by greeting clients upon arrival, admitting them to the unit or facility, and conducting tours and orientation.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the unit, including laundry duties and assisting clients with special needs.
  • Monitor performance of client job function assignments and provide guidance as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED and some experience working with clients who have behavioral health disorders and/or intellectual disability.
  • Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Ability to work weekends, variable shifts, and holidays.
  • Basic typing and computer skills.
