Behavioral Health Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Medication Assisted Opioid Treatment Program. This program aims to support individuals struggling with opioid use disorder through medication-assisted treatment.
Job SummaryThis PRN position requires a dedicated and compassionate LPN to provide high-quality care and support to patients undergoing treatment. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a registered nurse, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications, monitor patient response, and document treatment outcomes
- Collaborate with pharmacists to manage and prepare medications for distribution
- Participate in diversion control efforts, such as patient call-backs and medication counts
- Deliver medications to patients, observing dosing and monitoring side effects
- Assist registered nurses with triage and crisis intervention as needed
- Collect vital signs, specimens, and other medical data to inform treatment decisions
Requirements:
- Graduation from a State accredited program of practical nurse education
- Current licensure as a Practical Nurse issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Nursing
- CPR certification
- Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
